EnglandXReaderXNorway - A Prophecy
"Hey Lukas," You gained the attention of your Norwegian friend. "Do you think we'll ever see each other again? I mean, I'm moving to another country. It's kind of hard to keep a friendship alive when your best friend is a sea apart."
You turn towards him, your (h/l) (h/c) hair splaying out beside you on the grass. Today was your last day here in the beautiful country of Norway. Tomorrow you were moving to (Place) to finish high school. Naturally, you had wanted to spend your last full day with your best friend.
He glances at you from the corner of his eyes, being slightly higher than you since you were both on a hill, "That's simply because they do not try hard enough (Name). I can promise you we will always be together even when apart."
You sigh as Lukas turns on his side, facing you. You two have been best friends ever since you moved to Norway at age 3. You've learned their native language as well as English, French, and German. Your Father had wanted you to be very multilingual before he had passed.
"Yes but what if someone takes you away from me! Have you seen the way girls look at you?" Your tone changes from serious to angry. It made you angry even thinking about those girls and what they would do to him.
Lukas sighs; sometimes you just were oblivious to his feelings. Well, that and he didn't really show his emotions a lot either. He has liked you since he could remember, but only 2 years ago, had he noticed the crush grew to love.
He sits up, you following his example. He then reaches into his pocket and grabs a velvet rectangular box. He opens it and hands it to you.
You gasped. It had a (f/c) gemstone on a black chain. As you looked closer at the gemstone, you saw smoke swirling inside it. You glanced at Lukas and he gave a rare smile.
"It's to protect you. Even though I won't always be there to protect you, this will. It's also a goodbye present, something to remind you of me."
"Lu-Lukas. Thank you."
He places a hand on your cheek and leans his forehead against yours. You stare into each other's eyes and lean forward-
"Well she lives in a fairy tale-" You turn over and grab your phone, shutting off your alarm. You roll onto your back and stare at the ceiling. You had that dream again. The one when you leave Lukas. You reach up to touch the necklace around your neck.
You frown and turn over when your phone goes off again. You grab it and see it's a text from your friend, Arthur.
From: Arthur (Artie)
Sent: 6:35 AM
Hey (Name), I'm not going to be able to make it to school today. Something had happened last night and I can't leave it unattended, so if you would kindly pick up my homework and drop it off after school that would be lovely.
You stare at your screen confused. What had come up? And more importantly
Why the hell was he leaving you alone with his brother!
I mean, yeah you adored Alfred but sometimes he was just a little to
energetic. A question came to your mind as of why Alfred wasn't getting Arthur's homework but they don't have the same classes, so you quickly disregarded it.
You sighed and got out of your warm bed, immediately regretting it, "Oh cold, cold, cold!"
You rushed to gather your clothes and bathing essentials before booking it to the bathroom. You sigh in relief as you place your things down on the long counter.
"I should really stop sleeping with my window open." You mumbled. You turned on your shower and began to undress.
Twenty minutes later you had emerged from the bathroom, freshly bathed and clothed. You walked downstairs to see your mother cooking breakfast.
"Hey mom." You walked up to her and kissed her cheek.
She smiles at you and started preparing some eggs, "How did you sleep, sweetie?"
Your eyes glance at a picture in the hallway; it was of you and Lukas when you two were younger, maybe six. You suspect your mother knows something, but refrain from asking.
"I slept fine, just woke up freezing. I keep on forgetting to close my window." She laughs.
"I keep on telling you sweetie. One day someone might come in and put you in your pocket 'cause you're just so cute." She places your plate in front of you and pinches your cheek.
You groan and hear your brother, Jamie, laugh. "You're going to have to get used to that kid, she's always done that to me."
Jamie was only a year older than you, making him a senior. You two were always close, but recently he's been more
protective of you.
Since he's the captain of the (American) Football* team, he's quite popular. You not only being his younger sister, but the friend of the quarterback, let's just say you get asked out on many dates, all of which you politely deny.
Even though most of them were good looking, you didn't really want to have to deal with drama. A lot of girls already 'despise' you for being best friends with Alfred. If you were to date one of their crushes, things might get physical.
You watch as your mom gives Jamie a plateful of eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. Your eyebrow shoots up as you watch him eat his food like a beast. There may have been some draw backs of being an (American) Football captain.
You smile gently and look at the photo again, remembering exactly what happened.
"Lukas~!" A high-pitched squeal reaches the child's ears before he's tackled to the ground. He glances up and sees his best friend (Name).
Her (H/l) (H/c) hair was in two separate braids, both running down her shoulders. Her (E/c) eyes were shining as she looked at him with a smile that made him think her face was going to split it two.
"Lukas!" You repeated hugging him. You had just learned something and couldn't wait to tell your best friend about it.
"Wh-what is it (Name)?" The cute boy had questioned. You smiled and got off him, gently helping him up. Once he was up you grabbed his other hand and began jumping up and down.
"Let's get mehwied when we gwo up!" A blush rises to Lukas' face. Even though you still couldn't pronounce the Norwegian language well since you were so young, he still knew what you had said.
"M-married? W-Why?" You stopped jumping and looked at the 7 year old. You being six had to look slightly up to see his face.
"Mommy said it's what people do when dey love each other~! I love you~ Don't you love me?" You tilt your head to the side, your bangs gently sweeping across your face.
Lukas blushes and looks to the side seeing stop and watch the scene, saying things like "Aww puppy love" or "How cute". He looks back at you and smiles gently.
"Of course I do."
"Yay!" You begin jumping up and down again. "Lukas and I will get married~! Oh, Lukas! We have to start planning!"
You grabbed his hand and began running to your house, the one to the right of his.
You place your bag on the ground next to your desk and smile at the memory. You've been thinking of it since you were eating.
Practically every memory you had with Lukas was like that. Once you remembered it, it was hard to get it out of your mind.
"Hey dude!" Alfred cries walking towards you. Since you were in the very back of the class everyone else had heard it too. They all turned to see who their school quarterback was talking to. The girls sent glares and most of the boys stared.
You twitch, knowing why the boys were looking at you like that. You sigh and watch as Alfred falls into the seat to the left of you.
Normally Arthur would be to the right of you, but 'something' came up. Hey, maybe Alfred knows. Even though they're only half-brothers they still live in the same house!
"Hey Al, why isn't Arthur able to come to school today? He said he couldn't leave something unattended." You look over at Alfred who begins to sweat nervously.
"Ahahaha, well, he
he um, caught a cold! That's it! He caught a cold, and you know him, he's trying to find a cure for it with his potions and all that. Ahaha, oh look! Here comes the teacher!" Alfred looks at the teacher, avoiding your confused stare.
'Arthur never gets sick, and he already has a cold potion made since I caught one last week. Plus Alfred's a horrible liar. I'll just have to ask Arthur after school.'
:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.: Arthur's Pov :.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:
"Shit!" Arthur curses, jumping back to avoid an oncoming attack from his opponent.
'Ever since this bloody dragon appeared, I've been feeling His presence. No doubt for (Name), even though I'd love to be the one protecting her I sent Alfred to because I have to deal with this!'
Arthur gasps and quickly whispers an Alteration spell, creating a shield to save him from the dragon's fire. Arthur feels the familiar tingle running through his body as the shield's power emits from his palms.
Once the dragon stops Arthur quickly whispers words to a Destruction spell and watches as the sky turns dark and lightning strikes the dragon.
Quickly after the dragon falls, it's once white scales now burnt. He smirks before collapsing on the ground.
"Damn, fighting that dragon took a lot of my strength."
He pants and shakily gets on his knees. He waits there for a few moments, trying to regain his breath before standing.
He groans and stumbles but makes his way into the forest. He had lured the dragon there at midnight and has been fighting him ever since.
He eventually made it to his house and collapsed on the couch. He rests there, just looking up at the ceiling.
The thought of calling Alfred crossed his mind and he reached his phone, only to stop and stare at the photo.
It was of you two. He had taken you to a (Fav/Band) concert over the summer and it was of you, him, and (Fav/Band Member). He can remember your face when he showed you the tickets. You couldn't stop smiling the whole day.
He laughs lightly and drops his hand over the edge of the couch, his phone slipping from his hand. Once He shows himself, you two may not ever be able to have moments like that.
Arthur laughs bitterly and looks at his wounded body in the mirror above the stone fireplace. He just hopes nothing happens to you and that if he dies
He was able to tell you how he feels.
